LIFE'S GOLDEN TICKET

I read this very interesting book. It is in a novel format and centers around a magical amusement park that dishes out miracles by forcing people to look at the past and even the future. It deals with how we keep ourselves from being who we are meant to be from taking to heart things that have been said and done to us in the past and even what we say and do to others and how it affects them. To say the least, it was a very emotional eyeopener. I laughed and I also cried a lot while reading this book as things really hit home in some places. This is not a book for just messed up people. It can benefit anyone who cares about themselves or the people they come in contact with everyday, including but not limited to their loved ones. It was not a book cramming organized religion down your throat and it was not some weird "New Age" babble. It was just a lot of things put together that made sense and really makes you think. I am going to apply quite a few things and make quite a few changes in my life regarding my thoughts and negativity and the way I act and what I say to others, even in casual passing, i.e., a clerk in a busy grocery store when I may be frustrated or a stranger who may be in my way somewhere, or someone in a car who makes a mistake. I now do not want to waste time or energy on things that don't make sense to me. I will also try to have a better understanding of others and try to make someone else feel special every day. I will probably re-read it again to revisit certain things. Thank you Leanne Wildermuth for suggesting it in your blog.
